We are happy to welcome a new worship team. Rev Daniel Schreck is a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor, an Ordained minister, and a Veteran. He has spent over 30 years working with people in all kinds of situations, helping build and rebuild peoples lives in situations that seemed impossible. Rev Schreck says, "In my counseling, I provide hope for my clients by believing in them and speaking directly to their issues. My faith in God and the opportunities for people to change are defined. My years as a pastor in different churches has assisted me in understanding of life's difficult moments." August 1, 2017, we will be joined by Rev. Diane Samuels as Associate Pastor. She will speak one Sunday per month and also perform day-to-day ministerial duties. We feel blessed to be served by these two Godly individuals.

We have seen tens of thousands saved, miracle after miracle take place, and thousands running to the altar to encounter the Savior, which is the greatest sight on earth. We have seen some glorious outpourings of God in our meetings. Yet many have abandoned that place of surrender and obedience. The altars of our churches have become the steps by which man ascends the platform rather than the place to learn to walk in God’s steps! Sadly we now live in a day when God would be treated as a stranger if He were to show up in many of our churches. If we are to experience the transformative power of God, we must return to the altar. When Jesus stretched out His arms on the cross, He was telling mankind, “Now you can have access to meet with God!” Jesus’s entire ministry on earth was established so that we could have direct access to heaven. The altar is so much more than a wooden or marble piece of furniture that we visit to dedicate a child, get married, or hold a funeral. Because of Jesus the altar is a lifestyle of devotion and renewal in God’s presence.”

Matthew 7: Matthew 7:21–23 (NAS): 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 “Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23 “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’ Many are deceived in thinking that they are Christians. Just because you are in. McDonalds does not make you a hamburger, just because you PARKE yourself in a garage does not make you a car, just because you attend a church and speak Christianeze, does not make you a Believer.... What makes you a disciple, a Christian is accepting Christ, doing His Will not your will and calling it His Will! Stop doing your thing, your will, and begin doing “the Will of The Father” the Lord Jesus Christ. STOP BEING OFFENDED by what people say about you and START SPEAKING THE TRUTH, it will OFFEND those who hate God and want to do “their thing!”
Jude 1: Jude 3–4 (NAS): 3 Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints. 4 For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. There are movements and people today that have infiltrated church buildings and congregations with one purpose... to cheapen the Grace of God. Through their actions the deny Gods Presence and Power. Through their attitudes they sway those who are not grounded in His Word! We as true believers must be discerning and aware, ready to sound the Alarm and firm enough to “call them out!”

This post is a response to an article that tells churches that they must change in order to be effective: As a businessman, Substance Abuse counselor, former Adjunct college professor and Pastor, the Scripture does NOT tell us to become like our culture, nor does it imply that we convert our doctrines or traditions to reach a people that "want what they want, when they want it!" We are a "counter culture" people! It is our character and our Christ that draw people ("If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me!" Is what Christ said. It is not Marketing nor making changes for the sake of increasing the number of unbelievers in our churches. Ours is to "lift up Christ!" Not to to bring Him down to our level! Yes our methods may change... But by changing our marketing strategies, we have allowed a worldly culture to invade His Church... We are in a War of cultures and if Christian cannot see this (Evangelism is almost non existent, discipleship is relegated to Classes or groups that meet and discuss the latest trends or political movements and sermons that have no cross, no sacrifice attached)... then the Church, the Bride of Christ, The Body of Christ will become something that Our Lord will not recognize when He returns! NO, we must not become like the culture that we live in! WE MUST BE A COUNTER-CULTURE PEOPLE, willing to BE different and BE MORE LIKE CHRIST, not allowing the change that people want to make for the sake of not offending those of the world!
Yesterday Jesston and Beth Nusbaumer lost their home to a house fire. Beth was home with 2 of her own children and 5 children she babysits for...which includes 2 of our grandchildren. Praise The Lord they were able to get out without getting harmed. Continue to pray for this family as they go through this awful time.
